History
Serverside Group was founded with the objective of creating the world’s first truly personal payment card.
The company’s first product, AllAboutMe, was the brainchild of co-founder, Adam Elgar. After reading an advertisement for a ‘personalized card’, Adam was disappointed to find that 'personalization' was in fact the ability to change his Annual Percentage Rate, not to have a picture of his newborn son, Jack, on his debit card.
Having failed to find a true card design personalization product on the market, Adam contacted his brother, Tom Elgar, and after a few sessions in front of a whiteboard, the idea was in motion.
Tom developed the proof of concept and focused on the logistical and technology hurdles while Adam continued to focus on the business case.
After months of discussions with issuers, personalization bureaus, the card associations and prospective partners, it was obvious that there was some very clear and substantial demand for the product.
The first round of International Patent applications were filed and the business was incorporated.
With an intense focus on innovation and quality, with major Visa and MasterCard issuers live in the three main regions of the world, and with key partnerships in place, the future for Jack looks bright, indeed.
