and rest of the world
The small town of Marshall (population: less than 25,000) in the east Texas part of the
Piney Woods forest – famous for wild hog hunting – is the self-proclaimed "Pottery Capital of the World".
More recently, however, it has become best known for lawsuits brought by "patent trolls" – companies
that apply for or buy up catch-all patents (often from companies forced to liquidate their assets),
hunt down other companies with patents that may have a degree of crossover with theirs – and then sue.

London, 24 October 2011 -– Global card customization specialist, Serverside
Group, today announced the granting of a license of its US card customization
patents to Florida-based Credit Union Services Organization, United Solutions
Company (USC), and the release of USC from the suit brought against it (and
other parties) by Serverside in Delaware.
The license will cover all of USC's existing customers and any future card
customization programs with credit unions. USC can now move forward with the
peace of mind that the service it is offering benefits from a license of Serverside's
patents, providing a robust commercial platform from which it can build and
consolidate its market position.

London, 29 August 2011 – Pennsylvania-based TruMark Financial Credit Union has launched a card customization service, 'Customize My Card', powered by the patent-protected technology of Serverside Group.
For more information on the design-your-own card program, which is available on TruMark Financial Credit Union's debit and Platinum Visa credit cards, visit https://www.trumarkonline.org/self-serve/customize-my-card.aspx.
TruMark Financial has marketed the card program in a number of different ways, from newsletters and on-hold messages to email campaigns, buck slips and activity on Twitter and Facebook.
Cardholders without images of their own can choose to upload one from a number of galleries provided by TruMark Financial, including animals, sports and scenic. The credit union is not charging cardholders for the service.
